T-159 d: Sick again…

Well, folks, it seems I’ve hit another speed bump on my Road to Swissman 2024. After a whole November of dodging viral invaders, they’ve got me again. But hey, what’s a journey without a few twists, right?

Despite the sniffles and the occasional fever dream about winning races in my sleep, I’m keeping the spirits high. It’s like my immune system decided to go on a training camp of its own – no rest for the wicked!

So, what does a bedridden athlete do? Apart from becoming a connoisseur of herbal teas and reruns of classic races, I’ve been plotting. Yes, plotting my grand return to the track, starting with La Diagonela next week. Oh, La Diagonela, how I look forward to treading your snowy paths!

Last year’s La Diagonela. Let’s hope, the ski is faster this year.

Now, I’m not eyeing any podium finishes there, just aiming to enjoy the ride. Think of it more as a scenic, long endurance training session than a cutthroat race. After all, it’s the journey that counts, not just the finish line.

So, here’s to hoping the next blog update has less coughing and more running. Stay tuned, stay healthy, and remember, even a viral hiccup is just part of the adventure!
